The sports world is still in hibernation at this point because of the coronavirus. However, the 2020 NFL Draft will take place on Thursday evening with the entire first round being televised live on ESPN. The 2020 NFL Draft Start Time is set for 8 p.m. (EDT), though there will not be any live people in attendance, the entire thing will be done virtually.
Originally, the draft was supposed to take place in Las Vegas from April 23-25. It was canceled because of the virus scare and will now take place through videoconferencing. GMs of the NFL teams will somehow have to find a way to make this work, even though the dry run did not go as planned. At this point, fans probably wouldn't care much if there were some bumps along the way on Thursday night.
The Cincinnati Bengals are picking first overall. It's the first time they are doing so since the 2003 NFL Draft, then they drafted Carson Palmer with the top overall selection. There's little doubt the Bengals will be taking another quarterback here with LSU's Joe Burrow expected to be the top pick.
