The Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the Western Michigan Broncos today in the 2017 Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college football odds for the game have the Badgers favored to pick up the win.

Western Michigan has been a great story all season. Head coach P.J. Fleck has taught the college football world to row their collective boats, a moniker for working hard, doing the little things and finding a way to succeed.
The only problem for the Broncos is their lack of playing anybody this season that was any good. Western Michigan’s best win on the schedule came in the first game of the season, a 22-21 road win at Northwestern. Certainly running the table and winning all 13 games on the season is a spectacular feat, but Wisconsin is not going to care much for the good old story.
The Badgers finished with three losses on the season — Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State Those teams turned out to have pretty successful seasons and Wisconsin was in each one of those contests, losing each by a touchdown.
Wisconsin is going to look to run the football as much as possible. The Badgers are going to pound it left, pound it right, pound it through the middle and then look to run some more. They piled up 620 rushing attempts on the season for an average of 4.3 yards per carry, so running the rock here only seems like an obvious expectation.
The Broncos have an excellent QB with Zach Terrell, who has 32 touchdowns and only three picks on the season. He’s very accurate (70.8 percent), but the overall physical play from Wisconsin’s defense could be a problem if he faces pressure.
Wisconsin is better, and while any team that has a month to prepare can play well and win in a game like this, the Badgers will look to avoid an upset from the Broncos.
