The 2017 Belmont Stakes Post Positions were released on Wednesday and the race has some of the best horses in the world scheduled to run. The 2017 Belmont Stakes Odds for the race had Classic Empire as the favorite, but the horse was scratched on Wednesday morning. The event will take place this Saturday at at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York.

The race is open to 3-year-old thoroughbreds that weight 126 pounds and will run the 1.5-mile course. The Belmont Stakes is the third and final leg of the US Triple Crown, following exactly five weeks after the Kentucky Derby, and three weeks after the Preakness Stakes. It is nicknamed "The Test of the Champion" and will feature a dozen horses this year.
