The NFL Draft is finally here. After months of football being on the back burner and all the talk about college football players coming into the league to make an impact, teams will get a chance to better themselves tonight. The 2016 NFL Draft Start Time is set for 8:00 p.m., where it will be televised nationally on ESPN and the NFL Network.
This year's NFL Draft will be held at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre once again as the league looks at different options then Radio City Music Hall in New York, where the draft had been held since 2006. Nothing wrong with checking out a new venue and a new city, but it's worth noting that prior to last year, the previous 50 NFL Drafts had been held in New York. This year, the 81st for the draft, will hopefully see some unusual and unexpected things.
The LA Rams traded a ton to move up to the No. 1 spot, a few days later the Philadelphia Eagles did the same thing to move to the No. 2 spot. Both are expected to take quarterbacks with the top two spots, whether it is Jared Goff of Cal or Carson Wentz of North Dakota State remains to be seen, but those are expected to be the two first picks. Because of moving up, the Rams are now tied with the Atlanta Falcons with the fewest picks in this year's draft with only five. Holding the most picks are the San Francisco 49ers and the Cleveland Browns with 12.
The New England Patriots, because of Deflategate, no longer have a first round pick.
