2016 Advocare V100 Texas Bowl Start Time, Betting Odds, Free Pick

The Texas A&M?Aggies are playing the Kansas State Wildcats tonight in the Advocare V100 Texas Bowl. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college football odds for the game have the Aggies favored by a slim margin to pick up the win.

College Football Odds
Texas A&M -3
Total: 56.5 points

There has been a lot of time off for Texas A&M?heading into this game. The Aggies last played on Nov. 24 in a 54-39 loss to LSU, giving them more than a month off which could lead to being a bit rusty. Kansas State played a week later and ended the season playing very well, winning each of the last three games and five of six overall.

Jesse Ertz, Kansas State QB, isn’t going to dominate a game through the air. He threw for just over 1,550 yards and had eight touchdowns, averaging just 6.39 yards per attempt this season. He did hurt teams with his feet, averaging almost six yards per carry in leading the Wildcats in attempts and rushing yards for the season. He’s a dual threat guy that will look to cause Texas A&M problems in space tonight when he has the football.

Tonight’s game is the final for QB?Trevor Knight and DE Myles Garrett for the Aggies. Knight has not been 100 percent for the Aggies this season and it hurt them offensively. He completed less than 52 percent of his passes and Texas A&M went on to lose four of its last six games overall despite four of those games coming at home.

Garrett is expected to be a Top 5 pick in the NFL?Draft, though he has been inconsistent from total sack numbers on the season. More than half of his sacks came in one single game when he registered 4.5 against Texas San Antonio. His impact on the game doesn’t always show up in stats and he will have to lead a pass rush tonight against Kansas State.

The Aggies also have a couple of big-play threats on the outside offensively, both Josh Reynolds and Christian?Kirk could have big games. They each hauled in better than 800 yards receiving, Reynolds averages better than 18 yards per catch this season.
