2015 New England Patriots Schedule Win Total Odds Preview

The New England Patriots are the defending Superbowl champs, which was their 4th Suberbowl title in the last 14 years.  The Win Total for the 2015 Patriots has been set at 10 (O -160), while Vegas odds have them listed at -130 to win the AFC East, +450 to win the AFC Championship and +900 to win the Superbowl. Let’s take a quick look at the New England Patriots, along with their 2015 Schedule.

The Patriots offense was in a bit of decline last year as they ranked 4th in the league in scoring (29.2 ppg), 11th in total yards (365.5 ypg), 9th in passing (257.6 ypg) and 18th in rushing (107.9 ypg). Still this was a very good offense that got better as the season went on. The offense is once again led by Tom Brady, but has of this writing it is unclear how many games he will be suspended to start the year for his role in Deflategate. Even had the ball not been deflated they would have still beaten the Colts last year, but still Cheating is cheating and they got caught. rtom will again have the luxury of playing catch with one of the best WR corps in the league, led by Gronkowski, Edelman and LaFell, who is coming off a very big year. The Running game is very solid with Legarret Blount and travis Cadet running the show, while the OL is average, but not spectacular. Jimmy Garropolo will start the year at QB for the Pats and big things are expected of him when he is on the field, so overall I do not see much of a drop from this offense this year as they should once again finish in the top 5 in scoring.

Defensively the Patriots were solid last year, ranking 8th in points allowed (19.6 ppg), 13th in yards allowed (344.1 ypg), 17th vs the pass (239.8 ypg) and 9th vs the run (104.3 ypg). Last year the Pats lost Aqib Talib and this year they lost Darrelle Revis, which will hurt their secondary and they pats will facing many team that have to throw the ball just to play catchup on them. The Pats were very good vs the run last year, but the lost Vnce Wilfork, who was their best run stopper. Still they did add Malcom Brown, who will fill the void nicely for them. Chandler Jones will miss part of the Preseason, but should be at full strength to start the season. while getting back Jerod Mayo should be huge for this unit as well, after he missed the 2nd half of last year. Hightower will also help to make sure the run defense is a solid as last year, but the secondary does have some issues, especially with the loss of Revis. This defense could again allow less than 20 ppg, but only if the secondary steps up.

As far as their win total goes a lot will be depend on how long Brady is suspended, and while he is out a lot will depend on how Garrapolo performs. Still I feel that this team is the best in the AFC East and once again they will be one of the best in the AFC overall. The offense will again be potent and will be downright scary should their OL to a step forward. The Defense is pretty strong up front, but the secondary is average at best. Still the Pats can just out score teams and even with an average defense last year they still outscored their opponents by 155 points. I feel that at least 11 wins are in the offing for this team, no matter how many games Brady is gone to start the year.

Free NFL Betting Pick: Minnesota Vikings at San Francisco 49ers
It may be June, but this Monday Night Football bet is already a hot commodity with bettors jumping to bet against the San Francisco 49ers. Pro bettor Steve Fezzik loves the Vikings at +3 here, and says this bet is one you want to run, not walk to get before the number before this three-star bet disappears. With Adrian Peterson back, Teddy Bridgewater maturing, and the 49ers imploding, this is a perfect spot to fade a bad team and bet big on an underrated team this 2015 NFL season.
