The 2015 Belmont Stakes is just a few hours away and American Pharoah will race for horse racing history as he looks to become the first horse since Affirmed in 1978 to win the Triple Crown. The 2015 Belmont Stakes Betting Odds have American Pharoah as the clear-cut favorite to win the race on Saturday.
Victor Espinoza will once again be aboard American Pharoah, the next in line of great horses looking to win the ultimate prize. American Pharoah opens up the Belmont Stakes Morning Line odds as the considerable favorite, drawing 1-5 odds to win the race as of Saturday morning from Belmont Stakes Live Odds. Unlike last year where there were 11 participants in the final Triple Crown race, only eight will take to the posts this year.
Espinoza has taken two horses recently to the brink of history, riding on War Emblem in 2002 and California Chrome last year. Each came up just short in the quest for horse racing's ultimate recognition.
There's little doubt that American Pharoah is the best horse in the world after the opening two races, but will the length of Belmont be a concern? One of two Bob Baffert horses in the race, American Pharoah becomes the fourth horse all-time for Baffert that is vying for the Triple Crown after the opening two races, joining Silver Charm, Real Quiet and War Emlbem.

Beating the Belmont for Beginners
Steve Fezzik and Teddy Covers are pro bettors, but both admit they aren't much for horse racing betting. They say that isn't a requirement to bet the Belmont though. Since American Pharoah is going for the Triple Crown, something we haven't seen since Affirmed in 1978, simply bet the field to win and you'll succeed. There have been 12 Triple Crown Contenders in the past 20 years and none of them have won, so the guys are more than comfortable to take the "no-win" bet on American Pharoah. Avoid the media hype about the special horse, there are too many horse "assassins" in the field and history shows it is a bad bet.
