The Seattle Seahawks have been tabbed as the favorites to win the Super Bowl XLVII. Currently the oddsmakers from the Las Vegas Hotel have listed the Seahawks XLVII Super Bowl Odds at 2-1.
It's clear to see that the oddsmakers believe Seattle and Denver will be playing in the biggest game coming up in just a few weeks. The Seahawks are 2-1 favorites to claim the Lombardi Trophy in February and based on the Broncos' odds, they'll be playing in the Super Bowl as well.
It should come as no surprise that the Seattle Seahawks are favored to win the Super Bowl this season. We've seen their defense dominate all season and Russell Wilson has orchestrated the offense to near perfection. The below odds are courtesy of the Las Vegas Hotel, home of the SuperBook.
The Seahawks have the top overall seed in the NFC, which means anybody that thinks they have a Super Bowl shot has to go through Seattle. They own the most influential home field advantage in pro football and it's not likely they would get beat there. In fact, only the Arizona Cardinals bested the Seahawks during a home game this season.
With a dominant running game led by Marshawn Lynch and a quarterback in Wilson that doesn't turn the football over, Seattle has a legitimate shot to win the Super Bowl. They have an extreme advantage with home field.
The week off should also help the Seahawks, who are a very physical football team. Seattle often beats up on their opponents by wearing them down an we expect them to do the same in the playoffs. It will be interesting to see who they will play in the NFC Championship game, provided they get to that game.
