The Idaho Vandals went just 1-11 last season and are looking to improve this year. The Idaho Vandals 2014 Football Schedule is loaded with road games, which certainly won't this season any easier.
Idaho opens at Florida before going to Louisiana-Monroe as well. They only have two home games prior to Oct. 18, one against Western Michigan and one against South Alabama. That doesn't bode well for the Idaho fans as they have just five games inside the Kibbie Dome all season.
The Vandals are led by Paul Petrino, the brother of Louisville coach Bobby Petrino. They went just 1-11 last year, with the one victory coming by two points over Temple.
Matt Linehan, RS freshman quarterback and son of NFL coach Scott Linehan, will battle for the signal caller job. The incumbent is sophomore Chad Chalich, who threw for better than 1,200 yards last season with five TDs. He played in just seven games but could be the guy for Idaho this coming season if Linehan can't win the job.
Defensively, Idaho is very bad. If they can improve at all, the Vandals might be able to get a couple of wins this season.
