2014 Georgia State Panthers Football Schedule, Preview

Georgia State: Panthers Will Leave CAA for Sun Belt

The Georgia State Panthers are coming off a terrible season but spirits are high. The Georgia State Panthers 2014 Schedule is loaded with tough games and is listed below.

Georgia State lost 12 games last season, going 0-for the season. They also lost 27 seniors from that squad as well, which means they're either going to get better with more competition or they're going to be just as bad this season.

Last year the Panthers lost four games by a touchdown or less, but also got blown out in four games as well.

Coach Trent Miles enters his second year as the coach of the Panthers and they are hoping to improve this season. It will have to start at quarterback in Ronnie Bell who tossed for more than 2,500 yards last year.

It obviously can't be easy to recruit at a place like Georgia State, so getting junior college players to transfer in is a key to building a program.

On the offensive line JUCO transfers make up three spots, so if they can gel and come together the Panthers could have a bright spot.

Defensively they gave up 36.7 points per game last season. Georgia State is young, inexperienced and they need to continue to try and build this program the best they can.
