2014 BCS National Championship Odds

With the 2013 college football season winding to a close, the Las Vegas Hotel & Casino has updated its 2014 BCS National Championship Odds. The bookmaker's original list has been dwindled down to 10 teams, and, not surprisingly, four of those squads are from the SEC, including the favorite to win it all, Alabama. The Crimson Tide, who are seeking their fourth national title in five seasons, are drawing 10 to 11 odds ($110 wins $100) to win the 2014 BCS National Championship.

While Alabama is the current favorite to win the BCS Championship, its road to another national title is anything but easy. The Crimson Tide face No. 4 Auburn (12 to BCS Odds) this weekend; if they beat the Tigers they will face either Missouri, a 20 to 1 national championship choice, or South Carolina, a 300 to 1 BCS pick, in the SEC Championship Game.

Second on the LVH's odds leaderboard is No. 2 Florida State at 6 to 5 odds. The Seminoles, based solely upon their remaining schedule, seem destined to appear in the BCS National Championship Game; however, should quarterback Jameis Winston be formally charged with rape, all bets are off in regard to FSU.

No. 3 Ohio State is the Vegas based bookmaker's third choice, coming in at 6 to 1 odds. The Buckeyes do have two hurdles to clear and at least one of them is significant. This weekend's meeting with Michigan in Ann Arbor should produce a win, and an easy one if the latest line is any indication, but Ohio State's Big Ten Championship clash with Michigan State is problematic.

The Spartans, who are listed at 200 to 1 BCS Championship Odds, are certainly capable of derailing the Buckeyes and ending their national title hopes while, potentially, boosting their own.

Rounding out the LVH list are Big 12 squads Oklahoma State and Baylor at 200 to 1 and 500 to 1 odds, respectively, and Clemson, which is getting 300 to 1 BCS Odds.

2014 BCS National Championship Odds:

Alabama Crimson Tide 10-11
Florida State Seminoles 6-5
Ohio State Buckeyes 6-1
Auburn Tigers 12-1
Missouri Tigers 20-1
Oklahoma State Cowboys 200-1
South Carolina Gamecocks 300-1
Clemson Tigers 300-1
Michigan State Spartans 200-1
Baylor Bears 500-1
