Since its inception the American League's Central Division has been one of streaks. The Cleveland Indians dominated early on, winning the division title from 1995 to 1999. The Minnesota Twins wrested control in the early 2000's as they captured four division titles between 2002 and 2006. Of late, the AL Central has belonged to the Detroit Tigers, who won their third straight division title last year after finishing the season with a 93-69 record. Not surprisingly, opening 2014 AL Central Division Odds are anticipating another division crown for Detroit this season. The Tigers are a -300 money line favorite ($300 wins $100) to lasso a fourth consecutive AL Central title.

The resurgent Kansas City Royals, who are the only team in the division to never win an AL Central championship, and Cleveland Indians are next up at +700 odds apiece. The Chicago White Sox are in that second place mix as well with a +800 listing ($100 wins $800).

The same cannot be said for the Minnesota Twins, who are getting +3000 odds to win the franchise's sixth AL Central crown.
