The Detroit Tigers opened the season as one of the favorites to win the 2013 World Series; however, with 94 games now in the books, they are the stand alone favorite to win it all. The Los Angeles Dodgers are the second pick of the offshore bookmaker, coming in at +850 odds to win the franchise's seventh World Series. Big things were expected from the Dodgers before the season got underway, but the club's horrendous start damped some of the excitement in Lalaland. The band wagon is full, once again, though, thanks to the team's 17-5 run going into the All-Star break.
The latest odds would suggest some contenders are, perhaps, pretenders (or maybe they just play in the wrong division).
