The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will attempt to get off the preseason snide this weekend as they face in-state rival Miami in a 2013 NFL Preseason contest at Sun Life Stadium. Saturday's battle between the Bucs and Miami Dolphins is scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm ET. The latest NFL Picks and Odds have Miami listed as a -3 against the spread home favorite and the Over/Under set at 40.5 points. Tampa Bay is drawing +145 money line odds ($100 wins $145) to garner its first exhibition win.

The jury is, obviously, still out on Greg Schiano as an NFL head coach, but if one were to go by the Buccaneers last eight games, counting this year's first two preseason outings, he is better suited for the college game.

Tampa Bay, which closed out Schiano's first season on a 1-5 run, is 0-2 with losses to the Ravens and Patriots. The Bucs were a turnover prone mess in falling 44-16 to Baltimore and their defense fell apart in last week's 25-21 setback in New England.

Schiano has not played his full hand yet, though, especially on offense with starting quarterback Josh Freeman throwing just 10 passes in those two games.

Miami, which is 1-6 in preseason action under Joe Philbin, has not performed much better. The Dolphins, who are playing their first home preseason game on Saturday, lost 20-24 to Dallas in the Hall of Fame Game and 24-17 to the Texans last week. They did squeeze in a 27-3 pasting of the Jaguars between those two outings, though.

Miami made a concerted effort to get second year quarterback Ryan Tannehill plenty of playing time against Jacksonville and Houston, and that was reflected in the box score. Tannehill completed 20-of-24 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns opposite the Jags and Texans, helping Miami to a 7-7 first quarter tie versus Houston and 7-0 opening frame win against Jacksonville.
