The defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens will look to run their preseason record to 2-0 tomorrow night when they host the Atlanta Falcons. Thursday's meeting between the Ravens and Falcons is scheduled to get underway at 7:30pm ET at M&T Bank Stadium. According to the latest 2013 NFL Preseason Odds, Baltimore is a -4.5 against the spread home favorite. Tomorrow's game total is set at 41.5 points.

Some head coaches put little to no emphasis on wins and losses in the preseason, but Ravens front man John Harbaugh does not fall into that camp. His preseason record would indicate he cares quite a bit about exhibition game results as he is 14-7 straight up and 12-9 against the spread after last week's pasting of the Buccaneers.

It seems Harbaugh will not be meeting a kindred spirit on Thursday night. Atlanta's Mike Smith saw his preseason record fall to 7-14 (10-11 ATS) last week with a 34-10 home loss to the Bengals. The setback also dropped Smith's record in exhibition openers to 1-5.

The Falcons have not fared much better in week two of preseason action under Smith, going 1-4 while losing by an average of eight points per game.

Baltimore, which is 3-2 in week two exhibition games with Harbaugh as head coach, may give its starters a little more time on Thursday as it looks to work in a number of new players. The banged up Ravens inked two more veterans this week in wide receiver Brandon Stokley and tight end Dallas Clark.

The Falcons may do the same, but week three seems to be the one Smith puts an emphasis on. Despite Atlanta's ugly preseason record on Smith's watch, the Falcons are 4-1 in week three of exhibition play since 2008 (Smith's first year on the job).
