Like the NFC West, the NFC South features two top tier teams and two potential up and coming squads, which should make for a tight race to the finish line. 2013 NFC South Odds from The Greek expect the Atlanta Falcons to get there first, though, as they are drawing a +120 money line to win the division this season. The New Orleans Saints are second in line at +150 odds while the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are getting +400 and +600 odds, respectively.

Atlanta Falcons (+120): The Falcons bring back all the principle performers from last year's 13-3 squad; however, a division title is no sure thing. Atlanta's schedule is more difficult this season as its non-division slate includes meetings with New England, Seattle, Green Bay, Washington, and San Francisco.

New Orleans Saints (+150): The Saints struggled to overcome the absence of Sean Payton last season, but the New Orleans roster is still stocked with big time players. If the defense, which allowed over 28 points per game last year, can improve just a little, the Saints have enough offensive weapons to outscore most teams.

Carolina Panthers (+400): The Panthers improvement continued last season as they finished up with a 7-9 record. Carolina also had a great deal of momentum down the stretch, winning five of their last six games. Whether or not that carries over to this season remains to be seen, but the Panthers can no longer be dismissed as a division contender.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+600): The Bucs made progress under first year coach Greg Schiano last season, registering three more wins than they did in 2011. Unlike like Carolina, though, Tampa Bay finished on a sour note, losing five of its last six games. For the Buccaneers to take another step forward this season the defense needs to get better (24.6 points per game allowed) and Josh Freeman needs to take better care of the football (43 touchdown passes to 39 interceptions the last two seasons).
