Kansas City is also considered a middle-of-the-pack contender for the conference championship as well, currently drawing 18-1 odds to win the Lamar Hunt Trophy, an award named after the team’s founder.
Kansas City battled through a tumultuous, injured plagued season last year as three important players were lost to injury before Week 3 and Head Coach Todd Haley was dismissed after a 37-10 Week 14 road loss to the Jets. The team almost successfully defended its 2010 division title nonetheless, falling just short of the 8-8 AFC West winning Broncos with a 7-9 record (Chiefs regular season win total had been set at eight games).

The sports book’s NFL regular season schedule (does not include Week #17) has Kansas City favored in just six of 15 games.
