The men's final of the 2013 French Open takes place today between Rafael Nadal and David Ferrer. The match is scheduled for a 9:00 a.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. Currently the odds for the match have Nadal as a heavy favorite.

French Open Men's Final Odds

Rafael Nadal         -750 (Risk $750 to profit back $100)
David Ferrer         +575 (Risk $100 to profit back $575)

It's an all-Spanish 2013 French Open final for the men with Nadal looking to increase history on the red surface. Nadal has a massive 19-4 advantage over Ferrer in their head to head matchups. Nadal has won eight straight against his fellow countryman and Ferrer hasn't picked up a win over Nadal since the 2011 Australian Open.

He's clearly a major favorite to win his eight title at Rolland Garros, including winning all but the 2009 title since the 2005 season. He's just plain dominant on the clay and although Ferrer has played spectacular tennis to get to this point in the tournament, the oddsmakers don't believe he has a legitimate shot to win this match.

Nadal just won a grueling five-set match against Novak Djokovic in the semifinal round. Ferrer made easy work of Frenchman Jo Willy Tsonga in a match that most people, oddsmakers included, believed was going to be very close. There's no doubting that both have been very impressive making their way to this match, but Nadal has just been on cruise control to this point in the tournament, save for the epic match with Djokovic.

Will Nadal win his eighth French Open title today? It certainly looks promising based on the numbers.

Ferrer is regarded as one of the best players in the world right now, climbing up to fifth in the ATP rankings, but this will be his first matchup in a Grand Slam final. Kind of tough to draw the best player ever to step foot on the playing surface the duo will square off on today.

The odds are way too tough to bet for Nadal, but rest assured he'll be the one hoisting the trophy for winning at Roland Garros today.
