This year marks the 25th anniversary of SummerSlam by the WWE. The 2012 WWE SummerSlam Odds are listed below for the three major matches in the event. The event is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view that is available on all major television carriers.

SummerSlam will take place on August 19, 2012 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. While it's the 25th running of SummerSlam by the World Wrestling Entertainment company, it's also the fourth straight year that it will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Last year the WWE was hammered by less people ordering the pay per view as the 2011 event collected just 296,000 pay-per-view buys, down from 350,000 buys the previous year. Who knows where the numbers will fall in this year's event.

In 2011, Randy Orton defeated Christian in one of the three major matches of the night. CM Punk (c) defeated John Cena for the rights to keep the WWE Championship belt before Alberto Del Rio defeated CM Punk in just eight seconds in the last overall match. This year, Del Rio will face off against Sheamus for the world heavyweight championship belt. Also in action will be Triple H, a staple in the WWE the past 10 years, against UFC drop out Brock Lesnar, who has already had a previous stint with the WWE.
