Wimbledon has reached the third round and is just one day away from reaching the round of 16 in both the gentlemen and ladies' draws. On Saturday, the biggest match of the 2012 Wimbledon Third Round is between Serena Williams and Jie Zheng. Currently the match is slated for an 8:10 a.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The odds for the match have Williams as a heavy favorite.

Wimbledon, the third of the four major tennis tournaments to be played, will begin on Monday morning from the All England Club in Wimbledon, London where they have been playing the same tournament since 1877. It is generally regarded as the hardest one to capture. The tournament is played entirely on grass and takes two full weeks to complete, as all four of the majors do. Currently the 2012 Wimbledon Odds have Novak Djokovic favored in the gentlemen's draw while Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are favored in the ladies draw. All three are still alive in the tournament.

Williams will take on Zheng this morning in a classic matchup that pits power. Williams has been dominating opponents on grass her entire career and it doesn't appear that she will let up in this year's tournament at Wimbledon. Williams has 29 wins on the season compared to just three losses overall. That seems pretty good. Zheng isn't exactly a pushover, herself. She's won four tournaments in her career and even picked up a victory this season at the ASB Classic in New Zealand.

Between the two of them, they've played five matches. Without looking at the odds for this match, which obviously have Serena as a heavy favorite, at -1250, it's easy to see who should win. Serena has picked up all five wins in the matches between the two and has picked up straight set wins on grass twice. Williams is the overwhelming favorite and it's easy to see why. The -1250 odds on Serena indicate she has a 93 percent chance to win the match. Those are some pretty good odds overall.
