The 2012 French Open Men’s Final, which has a scheduled start time of 9:05am ET on Sunday, June 10th, will feature top ranked Novak Djokovic against clay court master and former No. 1 Rafael Nadal. Nadal, who has won six of the last seven finals at Roland Garros, is a 2-7 favorite in the latest 2012 French Open Odds and Picks. Djokovic, who has won every major with the exception of the French Open, is an 11-4 ($110 to win $275) underdog to topple Nadal.

Prior to this year, Novak Djokovic had never reached the finals in seven career appearances at Roland Garros. The Serbian had to know what was waiting for him should he every get over the proverbial hump, though. Indeed, his prognostications will be fulfilled tomorrow when Rafael Nadal stands opposite him on the Philippe Chatrier Court.

Although Djokovic has never been one to shy away from a challenge, for the sake of adding a French Open title to his resume, he probably would prefer seeing someone other than Nadal. Simply put, barring injury, Nadal is practically unbeatable at Roland Garros. 

The Spaniard won the event in his first attempt back in 2005, and he has won every final since with the exception of 2009 when he bowed out in the fourth round with a knee inury. However, If anyone stands a chance at turning back Nadal, it is Djokovic. 

Djokovic, who is 14-18 lifetime against Nadal, was a perfect 6-0 against his chief rival last season and he defeated him in the final of the Australian Open in January. Nadal has won their last two meetings, though, upending Djokovic on the clay surfaces of Monte Carlo and Rome. 

Making matters worse for Djokovic is his 2-11 clay court record opposite Nadal. The 25 year old Serb, who scored both of those wins last year (Madrid, Rome), is 0-2 against Nadal at Roland Garros, losing in the quarterfinals in 2006 and the semifinals in 2007.
