The Cleveland Cavaliers have won the #1 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft with the Minnesota Timberwolves grabbing the #2 selection and the Utah Jazz the third. Most experts in their NBA mock draft have Duke guard Kyrie Irving as being the #1 selection in the draft this year.

Kyrie Irving was a monster for Duke, shooting 58.7% from two-point land and an amazing 45.2% on triples. Many basketball aficionados consider Irving one of the best guards to enter the NBA draft in close to ten years. When playing "court general" for the Duke Blue Devils they won by an average of 23 points and as a team put up close to 90 points per contest. How dominant was Kyrie when running the floor? How about adding close to seven possession more per game over the previous season for the Duke offense with an emphasis on transition (27%) followed by isolation (23%) and the pick and roll (22%). His style and court presence should fit perfectly into the NBA and make him an instant star in Cleveland.
Once Lebron James left the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat the sports betting world listed the Cavs as +10,000 ($100 wager would win you $10,000) to win the 2011 NBA Championship. The oddmakers were not far off as Cleveland ended up dead last in their division with the second worst record (Minnesota has the worst at 17-65) in the NBA at 19-63.
