The running of the 149th Kentucky Derby takes place later today with an official post time scheduled for 6:57 p.m. Earlier this week, there were four scratches to the original horse schedule. Because of that, three more horses were added to the lineup. Forte was installed as the odds-on favorite to win the race, but was scratched on Saturday morning. There are now four horses at single-digit odds to win the race.
This year's Derby is scheduled for a 6:57 p.m. post time and it will be televised nationally on NBC.
