Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That sums up how I am feeling right now. I just got the news (which has now been confirmed by ESPN) and I feel like Ricky Hatton after getting hit with that left hook by Manny Pacquiao.
Brett Favre is like Rasputin he just will not die.
I love the way how Trent Dilfer of ESPN went on National TV yesterday proclaiming he received an emphatic text message from Favre saying he wasn't coming back only to look like a fool today as Favre has changed his tuned again.
Someone please make it stop. I don't know if I can take another Summer/Fall/Winter of Favre.
The only person happy about this is Terrell Owens because ESPN will leave him alone for awhile.
Here is the deal. I am not saying that Favre can't help the Vikings, but this whole sideshow he has been doing for the last six years is old, exhausting and if he was any other player he would have been destroyed in the media for being so dishonest, disloyal and selfish.
But because he is
"God" Favre he gets a pass time and time again. This isn't good for the NFL. I don't care if he plays or not, but I care about honesty. If he doesn't know what he wants to do then don't keep announcing retirements. Don't keep coming on TV saying it is over. Just say you are keeping your options open. I could respect that, but I can't respect this.
He is a media manipulator of the highest regard and to come back just to spite the Packers who were the ones who started this "God-Like" worship is as childish of a thing I have ever seen. The thing is he loves being the center of attention and he knows when he stops playing that will go away. Even if he doesn't come back he loves that we all are talking about him right now. Ironically when other players do this they are vilified he is praised which shows the double standard that is in the media right now.
I have one message for Favre:
DON'T DO IT BRETT..DON'T DO IT!!!
