Why is it becoming habit that Super Star Athletes feel that it's their God given right to demand more money when they have a good year while still under contract. They sign for Millions take a huge signing bonus and 2 or 3 years later that's not enough anymore.

You know what I really would like to see is the owners call a Player in and say you know last season really wasn't worth 4 million dollars so even though your under contract to be paid 4.5 million this year I think 3 million sounds more like the right number.

Could you image that??? The players would laugh their A$$ off at the owners yet they want an increase when they have a good year. Don't contracts mean anything anymore. Sure in Football you can cut the player if you don't want to pay him but maybe you don't want to pay him that much but you still want him.

How many times have teams had to eat big contracts because they couldn't trade a under achieving player because of his huge price tag...just ask the New York Knicks about that (Stephon Marbury). 

So now we have Plaxico Burress who signed a 6 year deal with the Giants after leaving the Pittsburgh Steelers 3 years ago. Plaxico was looking for more money which he found and was happy enough to sign a 6 year deal and take the Big Signing Bonus. So you had a Big Super Bowl and now demand a new contract? Please just shut up or sit out the whole year as you should not get another red cent.

The owners only have themselves to blame and only they themselves can fix this growing problem. Take a stand and just say NO and we will talk when your in your final year of the contract the year that ironically all athlete's seem to have their career year So the owners will SHOW THEM THE MONEY!!
