Two things that are near and dear to my heart are Vegas and craft beer.  They don’t cross paths often as finding a microbrew in a casino is as difficult as walking away a winner on the big six wheel.  I’ve talked before how a microbrew oasis exists at M Resort, and now a new beer event is coming to town.

Vegas Seven is hosting its First Annual Desert Hops Festival on September 10th at Green Valley Ranch.  I first heard about this a couple days ago and it’s way too soon for me to plan for it, but had I known a while back, I probably would have made a trip out.  They are even offering $99 room specials for the event.

Some of my favorite breweries will be there like Dogfish Head, Brewdog, Full Sail, North Coast, New Belgium (Colorado represent!), and Sierra Nevada.  For belgian beer fans there is also Chimay, Delirium, and Duvel.  For $30, that’s a pretty big bargain. Maybe the second annual beerfest will be announced a little earlier, and I will be able to make a trip out.
