Well after reading GoodFellas Daily NBA notes, I thought it would be a great idea to put together a few NHL notes for those hockey fans out there. The games that I put up information are games that I will be looking at to possibly put up a play so keep an eye for my NHL post.
St. Louis @ Columbus
St. Louis is 5-2-3 in their last 10 games winning their last 2, but they are also 1-11 in their last 12 Wednesday games. The Blues also struggle on the road going 9-14-3 this year and 15-37 over their last 52 road games.
Columbus on the other hand has been playing much better, going 6-3-1 over their last 10 games. They won 4 straight games before losing to Dallas on Sunday. The Blue Jackets are also 18-9-2 at home this year.
This is the third matchup this year between these two teams with St. Louis winning both games. Both games this year also went over the total. Over the last 10 meeting between the blues and blue jackets the home team has gone 8-2, with a split this year. Also over the last ten meetings the O/U is 5-3-2.
Los Angeles @ Anaheim
Los Angeles Kings are 6-4 over their last 10 games losing their last 3, but they did win 4 straight before that. The Kings also have struggled on Wednesdays going 6-20 in their last 26 games. Kings have seen 6 of there last 10 games go over the total, but they have stayed under the total this year in 3 of the 5 games vs. Anaheim.
Anaheim Ducks have gone 5-5 over their last 10. During these 10 games the O/U is 6-4. The under is 35-16-3 in the Ducks last 54 games including the 3 games this year vs. the Kings.
The matchup in this game should be a close game, but I look for the game to stay under the total. The Kings are 24-31 O/U this year while the Ducks are 28-28 O/U. One other stat to keep in mind is that the head to head matchup is 9-3 in favor of Anaheim.
Nashville @ Detroit
This will be the third meeting this year between the Predators and Red Wings, they split the first 2 meetings. Nashville won the first meeing 3-2 at home and Detroit won the last meeting 5-3 also in Nashville. This game will be the first meeting in Detroit this year. Over the last 10 meetings between these teams Detroit has won all 4 games in Detroit. Nashville has struggled in Detroit in the past going 6-27-2 in the last 35 games. The home team is also 7-2 in the last 9 games between these teams.
Nashville has gone 6-4 over their last 10 games with 6 of the 10 games also staying under the total including their last 2 games. The Predators have struggled a little on the road this year going 11-16-2 this year including 4-10 in their last 14 road games. Nashville on Wednesday games have gone 2-11 over the last 13.
Detroit has gone 6-4 over their last 10 games losing their last 2 games but winning 6 straight before the loses. Over these last 10 games the O/U has gone 8-2. The total has gone over in 7 of the last 8 Red Wings games vs. the Western conference. The Red Wings have also played very well on Wednesdays going 50-10-1 over their last 61 games. Detroit has also been one of the better and more consistent teams this year at home going 20-4-3.
