NBA Yesterday's recap:
3 units on OKLAHOMA CITY (-2) WIN
Daily Message:
The Oklahoma City Thunder did their job last night in Dallas and
we enjoyed a successful NBA card. We are now +48.35 units for the
season (using a 1-2-3 units MM: +15.15un) and for this month we are
already on the profit zone (+6.10un).
For today, we have a huge card of 11 games and this is an
excellent opportunity for me to make the proper adjustments after
last Wednesday's big card. All we need is just a little "tweaks"
and we'll be fine.

Last Wednesday I took the Bulls against the Nets just to see the worst
defensive performance from the Bulls in their last 9 games!
Despite
being the 5th worst offensive team in the league (in terms of offensive
efficiency w/98.8ppg per 100 possessions), the Nets shot 49.4% from the
field, scored 50 points in the paint and 21 fast break points! I’ve
already told on my yesterday’s daily message:
“the Bulls charter
had mechanical issues, took off and circled back to land in Chicago.
Got to New Jersey around 4 AM EST, maybe their lack of energy was due to
that “issue”.
The lack of energy in the Bulls starters’ was
pretty evident and Carlos Boozed didn’t play the entire fourth quarter! I
have zero doubts that head coach Tim Thibodeau benched Boozer in the
crucial quarter due to his notorious lack of defense during the game.
After all, his direct matchup Kris Humphries scored 20 points while
shooting 10-15 from the field & grabbed 11 rebounds.
At the end of the game Carlos Boozer wasn't happy to be benched for the entire fourth quarter:
"Yeah,
absolutely," Boozer said when asked if it was frustrating to sit. "You
have to talk to Thibs about that. That was his decision."
This
was a clear sign for the players: by no means Head Coach Thibodeau will
allow his players to be sloppy on the defensive end! For tonight I
expect the Bulls to return to their basics: with great team defense!
On
the other side, the 76ers enjoyed a nice home win against the Wizards.
They shot 56.7% from the field and went 29-38 from the charity stripe
line for an unbelievable shooting performance. However they ended the
game with just 20 assists - only 53% (20/38) of their FGM’s was the
result of an assist so the 76ers scored a lot of FG’s in iso plays.
Against a top ranked defensive team like the Bulls this kind of
offensive play won’t work especially with the Bulls mired for a
defensive bounce back.
These two teams met each other in December
and the Bulls trashed the 76ers 121-76. That game showed how the Bulls
“D” can easily shut down the 76ers offense but tonight I expect a huge
effort from the 76ers as certainly they have revenge in their mind.
Honestly I don’t think that the Bulls will shot 64.5% from the field
like they did in that particular contest.
