Race 8 - Longines Breeders' Cup Classic - Grade 1 3YO plus
The Classic billed as the best race in the Breeders Cup this year. As I was doing this race I ran into a problem, I felt GOY in my gut. You never want to feel that way because you know their is a big bet coming. As studying something stuck out, WHAT IF factor on all the horse's in the field. So I have a what if. ''What if Fierceness turns up'' Answer THEY ARE ALL FUC*KED.
Let's Look at the form in counties.
USA, There is not one horse that will beat this horse in the states. He was win and lose last year, but he has won the one's that are important. He even beat Torpedo Ana and she will be 1/3 for the distaff. Sierra Leone is probably the best of the US and he has beat him 3 times. OK he lost in the Derby, when he didn't turn up on a sloppy mad race, which is the derby. And when he didn't the rest of the field couldn't beat Mystic Dan WHO??. I think Arthurs Ride will kill himself trying to get the lead, To short for Next. Don't think Highland Falls is better then Fierceness.
JAPAN, Forever Young is probably the best of the Japanese. He was 3rd the derby and was fighting with Sierra Leone down the stretch. But that to me is dodgy form. He was trained pacifically for that race for the whole year and he still didn't get pass the 2nd or Mystic Dan. The horse that he was fighting with Sierra Leone has being well beaten by Fierceness. Even If Forever Young passed Sierra and Mystic he would of won by a head. Has 1st, 2nd in the Derby won since. Forever go's back to Japan runs in a bad race, wins easy and now its set up for him. I don't think so. Ushba Tesoro has being here and failed before, I think this race is stronger then the one he couldn't win. And Derma is totally out of form.
IRELAND, City of Troy is the only horse that can touch Fierceness, if he takes to the surface. He is a top class horse and has no negatives except 1, his ever ran on the surface. My heart say yes, but my head says no.ans I really hope he wins, but If you ask everybody in the America's both North and South. ''Who is the best footballer in the world'' South American's would say Lionel Messi, the North would say Patrick Mahomes, and both would be right as their are both brilliant footballers. I think Lionel Messi would get killed in Arrowhead and that's were my head is at.
So the real and only WHAT IF to me is 'What if Fierceness turns up and the '' Answer THEY ARE ALL FUC*KED. He is the best horse with the best form, He loves the dirt, he is the 2YO Juvenile champion. He has lost 2 races as a 3yo, the first was a warm up in for his 3YO career and the other was the Derby, which he hated and just gave up. He has won the Jim Dandy and the Travers since and he his here to collect the award he deserves most, The World Champion of the Dirt.
1st. Fierceness
2nd. City of Troy
3rd. Sierra Leone
4th. Forever Young
5th. Next
That's my take on the Classic, and I know many people will have different opinions then mine and that's fine, but if Fierceness turns up your f*cked. And Best of Luck to City of Troy for the Irish. Best of luck to all.
