Looks like we have nice clear weather throughout this week in Elmont, NY.
Race 1:
Wide open two year old race to start the day is a clear spot to spread in the Horizontal's. Trying to beat Wesley Ward in at his own game is tough, but its worth it as many will be using his duo in the pick 5. #1 Sam's Treasure (8/5) , hasn't shown a lot in the morning as most of WW's do, but went for 7x the 100k sire fee and Irad elects to ride. Have to include, but honestly I feel comfortable being able to beat this one. #2 Amirati (12/1) , shows a 35 & 3 bullet from the gate before the debut down in philly. Filly is bred better for this surface switch to the lawn, and draws Jose. #3 Just for the Oaks (15/1), is another long shot chance , but is also better bred for the grass and clearly needed that first race, just draw a line through it being in the mud as well. #5 Chitarra (2/1), is WW's other filly here and has better #'s on these when he uses Johnny V. Another 10x sire fee purchase, but only showing one good work and who really knows. #7 Cynane (6/1) , 250k purchase has a 47 & 3 Bullet work from the gate and gets Javy on the turf which is always a good thing.
Race 2:
#4 Betterluckythangood (4/1) , Its always a positive when a horse debut's going long and the dam has great numbers in this spot, all the while attracting Manny to handle the reins. #6 Bourbon Chase (6/5) , clearly needed the last off the bench, and now stretches out and gets Irad back who was aboard on the maiden breaking win, but ill try and beat this one. #5 Morethanafeeling (6/1) , was tuned up in the last to go , and ended up having to check, not comes back and gets a speed jock in Kendrick and doesn't drop down here. figures to try and set the pace, but I'm betting won't be able to wire to field coming off bench but could hold onto to cash a check. #1 Red D G P (8/1) , is hiked back up in class after a placing w/ a trip and could hit the board off that performance with a better trip. The #2 and #3 make sense underneath as well.
Race 3:
Is another heat in which I'll only be using 2 on top and that's the #3 Dreams of Tomorrow (6/5) , Drops in class while be protected against the claim and could step forward here 2nd off the pine. #5 Richiesgotgame (3/1) , 47 days off but drops , ships, gets Irad, and has been ultra consistent in the morning , which is not what maker normally does.
Race 4:
Is absolutely wide open, but I found one that is very live imo. There isn't a ton of speed and I believe #6 Scott Alaia (6/1) , could set the pace. First off the claim , hiked up in class, 2nd off the bench, & stretching out. Oscar has not bad numbers in these spots 13-17% types. Jackies only mount on the card , taking a shot that she picks up her first win here @ a price.
Race 5:
#5 Keen Heir (8/1) , #7 Pressure (6/1) , & #8 Loose Goose (2/1), Plecther has good numbers w/ these on the 8. Rudy is 3 for 4 in these spots recently w/ the #7, & Walden is 4 for 7 w/ the 5.
Race 6: Just another heat where 4 horses could win #1 Vegas Weekend (8/1) , #3 Chaysenbryn (6/1) , #5 Run Devil (5/2), #6 Ok Honey (3/1),
Race 7;
#1 Aggregation (2/1) , coming off the layoff but should be ready to lay over this field. The #4 Daddy Knows is interesting as well
Race 8: I was hoping the the 12 would draw in here.
Race 9: 5,6,8,9 East Side, Variable cost, Moonflyer , & Steady Schemein are all live.
