Due to all casino closings and the lack of on-track handle, Gulfstream Park on Saturday announced the Florida Derby (G1) will run next Saturday, March 28, as a $750,000 race.

That's down from $1 million and falls in line with the same move made by Oaklawn Park to make its Arkansas Derby (G1), now scheduled for May 2, worth 3/4 of a million as well.

Wells Bayou was 3/1 second choice he was 1 of 3 horses u picked to win. If u used your 3 horses in exotics u lost your ass.

Wells Bayou was 8-1 Friday Night when released maybe 4ish and if you put the horse in then it was indeed 8-1.... i agree and you are 100% correct that he dropped like a rock during the day and settled in at 3-1 or 4-1 some places ....

Scranton Pa Book had 4-1 at race time ... Philly Book held at 5-1 later in day as he said a ton on enforceable and

Just firing out some horse plays during this time of scary craziness as have developed some great contacts and info for the past 20 some years ....

did lean on these guys heavy to win triple crown in 2017 and yes that was the past and your only as good as the last race... i realize that

Wells Bayou was 1 of the three horses i played ... did not see or specify second choice ... if you read them in the context was actually the last horse listed ...

hope you and family are safe at this time as that is way more pressing and important than the Fla Derby... my town was okay so far but first case now confirmed here in this small S E Pa town ...
