It's been a long while since i've posted as it has been pretty hectic. Breeders cup days are always a crap shoot as there are many great horses and the euro angle always plays a factor to it as you never know which will like the firm turf or not. With that said, it's a great day to bet a longshot you like across the board as the place and show payments are generally phenomenal on days like these.
RACE 1: 7-6...well that's not the way to start. run 2nd and 3rd. No clue how the #6 didn't get past the 5. He looked loaded at the top of the stretch.
RACE 2: 11-3-4-6...#11 7/2 ML. Slight drop in class today for this one that should sit mid-pack and outclass them to the finish. $40 WP...WINNER #11 $7.80, $4.60, Just got cracked by the 10 on an exacta and Tri...finishes 11-10-6-4
RACE 3: 3-10-6-2...#3 6-1 ML. I like many angles today for this horse. Has been battling G1 and G2 company and has looked out of place. The horse is going back to 1 turn sprint off of route races and the horse has enough speed to stay close with sprinters and impose his will on them in the stretch. $80 WPS...BEST BET...WINNER #10, 2ND #2 EX $31.80, DD $54.80. Best Bet is a big loser. threw in the towel at the top of the stretch.
RACE 4: 3-6-8...loss. the 1 closed like a freight train on a speed favoring track.
RACE 5: 7-6-5...wide open. these marathon races are always a guessing game...loss
RACE 6: 2-11-1-10...#2 9/2 ML. My first euro selection and with a 2 yr old at that. If this gal takes to the firm going and traveled well to the US, she should be very tough. $80 WP...WINNER #11, 2ND #1, 3RD #10...EX $107.40, TRI $743.20...#2 ran poor and may have finished last. LOOKS LIKE A COLD NOVEMBER RAIN.
RACE 7: 3-8-6...on paper looks like a 3 horse race. #3 is speed of speed and will say catch me if you can...#3 gets caught on the wire and finishes 9-3...mor spirit and accelerate ran very poor.
RACE 8: 9-6-10-4...wide open race. #9 15-1 ML. Both wins have come on the turf, distance and at Del Mar. In a 2 yr old race, these are great angles for a connection that know the track well. $40 WPS. Longshot play
RACE 9: 2-5-4...Great distaff race today. Stellar wind is a very classy lady and want to see her win but will be in tough as there is other speed in the race and likes being at the pace. If she can stalk and relax, she will be fine. #5 Elate will have a perfect trip behind speed, she just needs to find a hole at the top of the stretch. #4 Abel Tasman has become very versatile, can stalk or fall back and make one run. Think Big Money Mike keeps her 5 off in the early going and make her move around the final turn.
RACE 10: 8-2-1...#8 15-1 ML. Has speed to burn, has won at the track and Paco is one of the best with a front running horse. $40 WPS. Longshot play.
as always BOL. Let's hit 'em hard today and build that bankroll for tomorrow.
