This is a great contest for guys who love fantasy football but dont want to spend a lot of time researching the value plays needed in the salary cap format.
Here are my recommended plays. My overall strategy in the pick em format is to shoot for
the moon and take upside players. Especially in a tournament format. Most people are going to
be on the "public" side and taking the same players, so you want to be contrarian and have variance.
Group 1 - Tony Romo (I think most people will be on Brees, Ryan, Brady)
Group 2 - Ben Roethlisberger (Public will be on Luck, Stafford)
Group 3 - Doug Martin (Expecting a huge % on Peterson)
Group 4 - Dez Bryant (While I expect he will be owned a lot, I also think most will take Calvin, Im also pairing him with my QB here)
Group 5 - Stevan Ridley (tough call between him and Mccoy, but Pats will run like crazy in the red zone and should get plenty of shots against the Bills)
Group 6 - Reggie Bush (this group has two GB WRs and two Jags, so I dont like to split hairs, plus I think Bush gets 6-8 receptions easy)
Group 7 - Jason Witten (Im going to hedge here because I already own Romo/Dez, plus I think a lot of points are scored in this game and I want shares of it)
Group 8 - Pierre Garcon (I see Garcon getting deep in this game and hitting a couple of big ones)
Group 9 - Matt Schaub (He wont throw much, but the rest of this QB2 group is brutal and he has the best matchup)
Group 10 - Patriots D/ST (Here is where I wont get cute, give me the best D/ST who creates and makes the most of turnovers vs a rookie QB)
Best of luck this week
