EAGLES v CHIEFS OVER 48.5
“War of 1812?”
Intro
Welcome to the NFL’s yearly version of “Amateur Hour,” whereas just like on New Year’s Eve when even those who never drink and/or party feel the need on this specific date to clog the nation’s bars nightclubs and restaurants all to act a fool, so too is Super Bowl Sunday as millions who are clueless to what football even is feel the need to disturb us “grinders” with numerous and annoying questions on the who and what to bet on. It is these same people that ironically barely watch 2 seconds of the game itself as they gather to drink, talk about their kids, where they went on vacation and/or how their significant other annoys the hell out of them. Oh wait, that’s the bloviating sports talk radio hosts who inherently think their thoughts matter in the scope of life and that those who listen actually care!
Mythology
In addition to the stale and same old sports radio gibberish; we are also barraged nonstop by the self-indulged/know-it-all ex athletes and media bloviators (sometimes one in the same) who are asked to talk about Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes, politics, betting lines, who they like in the game. This “dribble” is all just a set-up for at the end of their boring, mundane and useless interview these “has-beens” attempt to play “salesman” by hawking everything they themselves know nothing about from suspect “nutritional” supplements to the latest male enhancement products that promised to make us men feel 20 years younger and “perform” like we did way back in our collective college age years. After listening all week to these bloated “has-been’s” desperately trying in vain to grab their last buck and hold onto faded glory, I am now totally convinced that today’s athletes are 100% “clean” and that the reason they are 50+ years old and still playing, look like Greek God’s, and can still run a 4.2 40 is because they drink nitro juice, eat Kale and get 8 hours sleep a night zipped up in their hyperbaric oxygen chamber. You too can be just like them for the cost of what your mortgage currently is, but hey, you only live once?
Legal “Thievery”
I’m sure you have overheard this week numerous clueless radio/tv “thespians” who have “mythically” seemed to have unearthed the “treasure chest” of life changing riches by finding the inequities within the prop market and claiming that if you the listener follow them you too will reap these bountiful rewards. B.S it’s all a sham. I Personally, tend to shy away from these the money draining inducements. Theoretically I am not against those who do the required work and invest accordingly just like in any other market, but props are not my strength and due to numerous “sledgehammers” to my head, somehow, I have survived to know my limitations. With these “party teases” (props) I tend to dabble ever so lightly or not at all. The rake taken back by the sportsbooks on these props is enormous. This is why each year there is more than the previous year and done primarily for the “square” player to lose his shirt on everything, but the actual game spread itself. My advice is if you are a novice at the props market go with your instincts or a very “trusted source” who has shown long term results and not looking to “steal” your cash with some outlandish claims or some “media hack” who historically loses his bets. Have you ever asked yourself why these bloated and visibly depressed talking heads give out their daily useless sports takes and bets on the air and are not living the life as a professional sports investor if he is such a Svengali? “Loserville” sounds better on FM that’s why! But as usual when discussing the sports media in general I digress so let’s get back on track.
Last Call
Welcome to the end of one of the most diverse and to me exciting NFL seasons in recent memory. The emergence of new talent, philosophies and player/team transition will make this one of the most intriguing of off seasons in the league’s history. I can’t wait to see how it all plays out over the next 6 months as I am already anticipating next September. But before we find out what’s behind door number 2 and look forward the 2025 season, we must put a bow on 2024 with 2 teams in KC and Philly that in my opinion are highly deserving of their place at the “big boy” table with the winner earning the title of champion. So, without further adieu and one last time for this season, welcome to the way too long “Psychobabble”
Key Fob
Most of the games played in the NFL are “finished” before they have even started. We in the public are privileged to view the immense physical skills but, in a league where the talent level between the best and worst is infinitesimal it’s the unseen psychological strengths that indicate who wins each and every Sunday. As the Chiefs and Eagles get ready for the biggest game of the season, they’ll be using their leaned and instinctive psychological skills in mentally preparing for the game. These are techniques they have honed all season and throughout their careers.
However, the Super Bowl brings a level of pressure that can throw off even the most seasoned and elite athletes. The degree to which athletes stay mentally disciplined can have a major impact on the final score. The following four points are key strategies mentally tough athletes use:
Keep your routine —This is not time to “cram for the test” or reinvent any aspect of how the team operates. Players are still going to practice this week and fine-tuning their plays with the understanding that they are ready for this game—their level of skill is why they made it this far. This also includes taking the same amount of rest and down time to spend with family and letting the mind and body recover.
Stay mindful — While the game is the same as every other team has played throughout the season, the stress, stakes, and sheer noise during the Super Bowl will be off the charts. For the players, being mindful means being aware of how these factors affect them—acknowledging how they feel as a result of noticing the distractions and understanding why those feelings are present. This allows athletes to notice the anxiety and set it aside so they can stay present for the game.
Focus on what can be controlled — This dovetails mindfulness in that players need to be present and focused on each play as it comes. Injuries, unfavorable calls, and nasty weather are all things that affect the game but are beyond an individual player’s control. Worrying about what could be different only serves to distract the team from achieving victory.
Play to your strengths and do your job— Victory or defeat does not rest on any single player’s performance, so each athlete must focus on his role and playing as a member of the team. This means understanding individual limitations as well as trusting your teammates. A cohesive team is developed over a long season and the trust that each individual will perform his job is essential in this process.
The 2024 NFL champion will be revealed on Sunday. The team that has the mental toughness to regulate its reactions to the ups and downs of a high-pressure situation will be the winner. Practicing a well-thought out and individualized sport psychology skill training program will enhance teams’ and individual athletes’ ability to persist through intense competitions. The team hat masters the mental approach will in the end show the necessary “grit” to overcome, adapt and preserver in the midst of intense pressure and be truly called by all “champion
Motivated Maz
Growth Mindset-To briefly sum up the findings: “Individuals who believe their talents can be developed (through hard work, good strategies, and input from others) have a growth mindset. They tend to achieve more than those with a more fixed mindset (those who believe their talents are innate gifts).”
Psychologist Abraham Maslow (1943, 1954) stated that human motivation is based on people seeking fulfillment and change through personal growth. He theorized that Self-actualized people are those who were fulfilled and doing all they were capable of.
Development of Identity “Those who do not grow up in a healthy environment—perhaps one scarred by emotional or physical abuse, neglect, or over-parenting—may not develop a sense of self in the same way. Their identities may have been minimally acknowledged, if at all.” When feelings and thoughts are ignored in childhood, children may grow up not recognizing that they have their own ideas and sets of behaviors. If children are forced to yield to others’ thoughts, wants, and needs continually over time, the development of their identity may suffer. As they grow into adults, they may question, “Who am I?”
Double E
In his theory of Psychosocial development, Erik Erikson identified 8 distinct but related stages in life in which we face unique challenges that either propel us forward in growth and self-actualization or stall us. Each stage, tied to a particular age-range or developmental period, is thought to be universally applicable though certain cultures may do better or worse in supporting growth in some areas (e.g. collectivist v. individualist). One factor seems undeniable in the preparation for a productive and meaningful adulthood experience – and that is the development of a sense of self during adolescence. As you can see from the reading, self-identity is influenced by many variables. And without a secure sense of self, many adults struggle to maintain intimate relationships or embark on meaningful and fulfilling careers. Knowing the self is the very foundation upon which we build and bolster our adult hopes and dreams. Without it, would we truly know where we were going?
Parent Trap
Parental Influences- “Most parents want their children to succeed. Some narcissistic parents, however, set expectations not for the benefit of the child, but for the fulfillment of their own selfish needs and dreams. Instead of raising a child whose own thoughts, emotions, and goals are nurtured and valued, the offspring becomes a mere extension of the parent’s personal wishes, with the child’s individuality diminished.”
This is why good parenting is the key to the child’s psychological growth and well-being.
Bowen family systems theory-This belief is a theory of human behavior that views the family as an emotional unit and uses systems thinking to describe the complex interactions in the unit. It is the nature of a family that its members are intensely connected emotionally. Often people feel distant or disconnected from their families, but this is more feeling than fact. Families so profoundly affect their members’ thoughts, feelings, and actions that it often seems as if people are living under the same “emotional skin.” People solicit each other’s attention, approval, and support and react to each other’s needs, expectations, and upsets. Connectedness and reactivity make the functioning of family members interdependent. A change in one person’s functioning is predictably followed by reciprocal changes in the functioning of others. Families differ somewhat in the degree of interdependence, but it is always present to some degree.
Mess Hall
Emotional interdependence presumably evolved to promote the cohesiveness and cooperation families require to protect, shelter, and feed their members. Heightened tension, however, can intensify these processes that promote unity and teamwork, and this can lead to problems. When family members get anxious, the anxiety can escalate by spreading infectiously among them. As anxiety goes up, the emotional connectedness of family members becomes more stressful than comforting. Eventually, one or more members feel overwhelmed, isolated, or out of control. These are the people who accommodate the most to reduce tension in others. It is a reciprocal interaction. For example, a person takes too much responsibility for the distress of others in relationship to their unrealistic expectations of him, or a person gives up too much control of his thinking and decision-making in relationship to others anxiously telling him what to do. The one who does the most accommodating literally “absorbs” system anxiety and thus is the family member most vulnerable to problems such as depression, alcoholism, affairs, or physical illness.
Helping “Hans”
There are times in our lives when we feel as though we simply can’t take one more problem to solve; one more relationship to coddle; one more disappointment to process; or one more deadline to meet. We are in a culture of stress. We spend most of our time worrying about the future, over which we have no control. We spend hours and hours catastrophizing about the outcomes of life’s circumstances, for which we can’t possibly predict. Stress is not a new concept. Hans Selye borrowed the term stress from physics, as he observed that many of his sick patients appeared to be under physical stress. He is often considered the Father of Stress Research. Selye’s research opened the door for a better understanding of stress and how it impacts our functioning.
Food Bank
Not all stress is created equally. There are different types of stress and knowing which type you are experiencing can serve to ameliorate the potentially grueling symptoms. Some stress is short- lived. Some stress is episodic. Some stress pounds, and pounds, until the body surrenders. This type of chronic stress can result from struggling within the confines of poverty, not knowing if food will be available from one day to the next; from being entrapped in a controlling and abusive relationship; or from battling the perverse dysfunction that may plague your nuclear family. The prognosis of this chronic state of stress is quite grim. Our bodies cannot survive such prolonged departures from the desired state of homeostatic balance—our organ systems will fail. We must be mindful of the complacency such discomfort breeds. If we reside within the corridors of chronic stress for too long, we become comfortably numb; our new normal is the discomfort. All of this will be cast upon the combatants here in “The Big Sleazy” today and the team that handles it the best will be the last one standing when the confetti fall.
Not Me
Denial is prevalent across all scopes of humanity. It can be widely seen and heard throughout society to which no one is immune. This silent affliction can be more prevalent in some more than others as it is the primary defense mechanism for most criminals, politicians or those who get their preverbal “hands caught in the cookie jar.” This affliction knows no bounds and dare I say the denial epidemic has no equal. This acceptance is universally acknowledged by all except for a few that seem to all come together and all work for the bloviating sports wagering media (you know who you are) who when confronted with a losing selection for which they boasted before the event come bac on the air to double down by stating that not only did they get off the selection in play they kept firing on the other side and made put “like a bandit” in the end.
Janitor Duty
This debilitating condition is only trumped by those across the entire sports media landscape when they inform us that the Chiefs are their selection today to lift the Lombardi trophy by defeating the Eagles simply because “they can’t see Mahomes losing.” Wow what a breakdown! What would we ever do without these self-described Svengalis.
If we get out of the microscopic sports world and add society as a whole, we can find denial that is currently exposing in current administration which will undoubtedly leave a carnage of collated damage that will take future generations years to “clean up.”
Ice Age?
All of this denial throughout society got me thinking once again (never good) on why denial is so prevalent within us as humans that it can take the most mild mannered individual and turn them into a raving lunatic that is void of any rationally, objectivity, and common sense when it comes to some of the most polarizing topics of our modern day. Instead of doing the proper research to find the facts they would rather just participate in a massive form of group think that leads them astray on topics such as NBA trades, global warming, religion, politics and for us in the sports investing genre the fact that the Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl AGAIN!. Let me say that again, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in the football year of 2024 are in the Super Bowl once again and 1 win away from being called NFL champions for the 3rd consecutive year! See even I must have some denial in me!
Tails Always Fails
Weekly readers of my post know by now how this goes as I just can never post my chosen side and move on. Unlike most of the fraudulent, arrogant, and biased charlatans who must back their useless theories and scientific models by showing us all the boring and nauseating stats and trends while making arguments for their mostly losing selections as many others follow(how cliche- I can find the same if not more counter angles to their one-sided biased argument). No, I need to satisfy my need to feed my oversized ego by delving into the minds and psyche of the players, coaches, and organizations as a whole and extend this analysis into society itself on the impetus behind my coin flip of a selection today.
Who, Me?
Denial, in ordinary English usage, has at least three meanings: asserting that any particular statement or allegation is not true (which might be accurate or inaccurate); the refusal of a request; and asserting that a true statement is not true. This article covers only a third of those meanings: people's assertions that true factual claims are not true.
In psychology, denialism is a person's choice to deny reality as a way to avoid a psychologically uncomfortable truth.
In psychoanalytic theory, denial is a defense mechanism in which a person is faced with a fact that is too uncomfortable to accept and rejects it instead, insisting that it is not true despite what may be overwhelming evidence. The concept of denial is important in twelve-step programs where the abandonment or reversal of denial that substance dependence is problematic forms the basis of the first, fourth, fifth, eighth and tenth steps.
911
People who are exhibiting symptoms of a serious medical condition sometimes deny or ignore those symptoms because the idea of having a serious health problem is uncomfortable or disturbing. The American Heart Association cites denial as a principal reason that treatment of a heart attack is delayed. Because the symptoms are so varied, and often have other potential explanations, the opportunity exists for the patient to deny the emergency, often with fatal consequences. It is common for patients to delay recommended mammograms or other tests because of a fear of cancer, even on average this worsens the long-term medical outcome.
The Defense Rests
Denial is a defense mechanism in which an individual refuses to recognize or acknowledge objective facts or experiences. It’s an unconscious process that serves to protect the person from discomfort or anxiety.
For example, a loved one may insist that she doesn’t have a problem with alcohol, despite the fact that it interferes with work and family life. Or a loyal employee may refuse to see signs that his boss is stealing from the company.
Freudian Slip
The concept arose from the work of Sigmund Freud, whose daughter, Anna Freud, developed the idea of defense mechanisms, unconscious strategies whereby people protect themselves from anxious thoughts or feelings. Anna believed that denial unconsciously protected the ego from discomfort and distress by rejecting aspects of reality itself. Denial was primarily used in childhood and adolescence, she believed, and could be damaging when employed regularly in adulthood.
Although many of Freud's ideas have been disproven, psychologists today still believe that defense mechanisms like denial are a valid concept.
The Truth Hurts
Denial can encompass truths too difficult for an individual to confront or to accept. Yet therapy offers a space to safely and gradually process those beliefs and experiences. It can help people understand the roots of their emotions and behavior, eventually replacing denial with healthier coping skills.
What’s Your Address?
Denial is important to address in therapy because it reveals underlying challenges that are often causing an individual distress. If someone drinks excessively, exploring why they drink—to medicate their anxiety, for example—allows the patient to discuss their experience and develop skills to manage anxiety. Similarly, if a woman denies that a relationship is abusive, she may be struggling with fears around abandonment, loneliness, or past relationships that a therapist can help her navigate.
Role Play?
Few people easily and quickly accept the conclusion that they have a problem with alcohol or substance use. Many struggle mightily against it and craft a variety of arguments to demonstrate that they don’t have a problem. A few of the most common forms of denial: “All of my friends drink more than I do.” “I’m too successful to have a drinking problem.” And “I only use when…” Recognizing instances of denial and misdirection is an important first step in acknowledging the problem and seeking help.
Cycle Class?
Yes, people can struggle to understand or acknowledge that they have a disorder. For example, bipolar disorder is a condition in which someone’s mood cycles through periods of depression and mania. Mania is a state of euphoria characterized by extremely high energy, overconfidence, and impulsive behavior. Hypomania is a more mild or moderate version of that state. A feature of mania and hypomania is denying that anything is wrong or unusual.
No Smoking
Denial can shape dynamics in different domains of life, whether that be ignoring relationship conflicts or refusing to acknowledge an illness. In many of these instances, denial leads to short-term satisfaction but long-term pain. In the end, confronting reality—even when it’s difficult—is the best path forward.
As a defense mechanism, denial involves a refusal to accept the truth or reality. "No, I'm just a social smoker," is a good example. People may apply a similar justification for other harmful habits, such as excessive alcohol or substance use and compulsive gambling or shopping, to unconsciously distance themselves from uncomfortable truths of their behavior and protect their self-esteem.
Self-Quarantine?
Common defense mechanisms can undermine healthy relationships. In the case of denial, people may isolate themselves against their flaws and mistakes. They might pretend that everything is fine and ignore their own negative emotions or disagreements within the relationship. This can prevent the problem from being acknowledged, discussed, and resolved. Even though it may be more difficult in the short term, confronting these difficulties will strengthen the relationship in the long run.
Follow The Money?
Desire, greed, or the need for status can override rational considerations and shape our spending habits. For instance, someone may love to shop, even though they aren’t financially secure and are accruing debt. Psychologically they may deny their financial reality to continue buying items they can’t afford. This prevents the person from admitting to factual limitations that feel constricting or upsetting.
The Defense Rests
Defense Mechanism, in psychoanalytic theory, any of a group of mental processes that enables the mind to reach compromise solutions to conflicts that it is unable to resolve. The process is usually unconscious, and the compromise generally involves concealing from oneself internal drives or feelings that threaten to lower self-esteem or provoke anxiety. The concept derives from the psychoanalytic hypothesis that there are forces in the mind that oppose and battle against each other. The term was first used in Sigmund Freud’s paper “The Neuro-Psychoses of Defense” (1894).
Some of the major defense mechanisms described by psychoanalysts are the following:
- Repression is the withdrawal from consciousness of an unwanted idea, affect, or desire by pushing it down, or repressing it, into the unconscious part of the mind. An example may be found in a case of hysterical amnesia, in which the victim has performed or witnessed some disturbing act and then completely forgotten the act itself and the circumstances surrounding it.
- Reaction formation is the fixation in consciousness of an idea, affect, or desire that is opposite to a feared unconscious impulse. A mother who bears an unwanted child, for example, may react to her feelings of guilt for not wanting the child by becoming extremely solicitous and overprotective to convince both the child and her that she is a good mother.
- Projection is a form of defense in which unwanted feelings are displaced onto another person, where they then appear as a threat from the external world. A common form of projection occurs when an individual, threatened by his own angry feelings, accuses another of harboring hostile thoughts.
- Regression is a return to earlier stages of development and abandoned forms of gratification belonging to them, prompted by dangers or conflicts arising at one of the later stages. A young wife, for example, might retreat to the security of her parents’ home after her first quarrel with her husband.
- Sublimation is the diversion or deflection of instinctual drives, usually sexual ones, into noninstinctual channels. Psychoanalytic theory holds that the energy invested in sexual impulses can be shifted to the pursuit of more acceptable and even socially valuable achievements, such as artistic or scientific endeavors.
- Denial is the conscious refusal to perceive those painful facts exist. In denying latent feelings of homosexuality or hostility, or mental defects in one’s child, an individual can escape intolerable thoughts, feelings, or events.
- Rationalization is the substitution of a safe and reasonable explanation for the true (but threatening) cause of behavior.
Stop Sign
Psychoanalysts emphasize that the use of a defense mechanism is a normal part of personality function and not in and of itself a sign of psychological disorder. Various psychological disorders, however, can be characterized by an excessive or rigid use of these defenses. The only question that remains to be answered is, “Are you too in denial?”
GAME-TIME
So, how can the 2 teams beat each other today? I have no idea and if I knew you all wouldn't have to be subject to my dribble. What I can do is give you empirical evidence of how it can be done by the greatest indicator of all, evidence!
Bert Jones
Way back in 2019 there is a game that if the Eagles watch on tape will give them the exact blueprint on how to beat the champs.
COLTS 19 CHIEFS 13
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The way Indianapolis handled the Kansas City Chiefs on this Week 5 nationally televised Sunday night rematch of last year Chief dominating win at the time the game occurred sent a jolt through the NFL, whether it was dominating the line of scrimmage or shutting down Chief QB Patrick Mahomes and Co. on defense.
The Cots dominating rushing attack led by Marlon Mack’s 132 yards, and ageless kicker Adam Vinatieri knocked through four field goals, as the Colts atoned ever-so-slightly for a January playoff defeat inside the same stadium.
It looked like it was going to be a long night as the Colts allowed points on the Chiefs' first two possessions before shutting them out until a meaningless field goal with 1:16 to go.
Mahomes threw for 321 yards and a touchdown, but the Chiefs had just 36 yards rushing. KC with this loss saw their record streak of 22 straight games scoring at least 26 points come to a crashing conclusion.
Chiefs HC Andy Reid never known for having highly disciplined and detailed teams had this lack of mental focus “rear its ugly head” as penalties kept the Chiefs off schedule and visibly uncomfortable."
On offense, the Colts big line bruised a Kansas City leaky defensive front that created big holes for Mack and plenty of time for Colts QB Jacoby Brissett, who threw for 151 yards while running for the Colts' only touchdown.
On defense, the Colts spent most of the night in the Kansas City backfield, plugging up holes in the running game and relentlessly pressuring the reigning league MVP on passing downs.
Mahomes was sacked four times and hit plenty more as the Chiefs' prolific offense continued to sputter in the second half, and Brissett and the Colts essentially played a game of keep-away throughout the third quarter and into the fourth wearing down a tired Chief’s defense on their way to a punishing 19-3 victory.

Master Class
The Colts were masterful in how they ran the ball straight at the Chiefs while never altering their game plan even when they trailed 10-0 early. This methodical approach kept the high-powered offense Chiefs off the field (only 10 possessions). Once the Colts caught and then surpassed KC on the scoreboard, the Chiefs started to get frustrated (numerous penalties), gave-up on the run (36 total yards) and as a result became highly one dimensional. This allowed the Colts to defensively rush only 4 and sit 7 back in a zone which bottled up the Chiefs receivers with physical play that kept them off-script and off-balance. A perfect plan that the Eagles coaching staff with their elite defensive personnel can mimic and even exceed in its effectiveness.
Bugs Bunny
So how do the Chiefs beat the Eagles? Well, if you're anybody else besides KC you scour the archives while forgoing sleep in finding a way in attacking this fast, physical and opportunistic Eagles defense. But if you're Andy Reid you just call in the play you concocted in your “doughnut lab” to your Houdini of a QB, and if you're lucky enough to be that special once in a generation QB you just wave our magic wand say, “hocus pocus” and just like that, the wonderment only he can produce mythically appears as he pulls that same dam rabbit out of his red hat that brings the Chiefs another victory and 3rd straight Super Bowl title in a row that only a special talent like the one and only Patrick Mahomes could do!
Conclusion
Poo Boys
When the confetti finally fall in “The Big Sleazy”, the story won’t be about the gaudy stats, the controversial calls, or even the inevitable over analysis from the talking heads who spend more time debating Mahomes’ greatness than actually watching the game. No, the true narrative of this Super Bowl will be one of psychological warfare—of a battle between a team that has been here before and a team that has learned from its past failures.
Falcons Crest
For Kansas City, this is a dynasty-in-the-making, a legacy written in real-time by a quarterback who defies logic and a coach who, for all his faults in game management, understands one thing better than anyone else: adaptability. Patrick Mahomes is not just a player; he is an illusionist, a magician who thrives in chaos, who turns broken plays into touchdowns and makes defenses look foolish for even attempting to slow him down. Andy Reid, the architect of this spectacle, knows that at some point, the game will come down to one moment—ball on the Chiefs own 20 and 80 yards to go with 1:30 remaining and 1 timeout left in a do-or-die sequence where the illusion becomes reality and Houdini cheats death once again as he escapes sure mortality only to celebrate screaming “this is what I dooooo”.
Tick-Tock
For Philadelphia, this is about redemption, about correcting the fatal flaws that cost them a title just one year ago. The blueprint to beat Mahomes is not a mystery—it has been written before, in ink that the Eagles' front office has surely studied. Control the clock. Dominate the trenches. Frustrate Mahomes by keeping him on the sideline and making him press when he finally gets on the field. The Eagles have the personnel to do it, the defensive front that can generate pressure without blitzing, the secondary that can physically disrupt routes, and the offensive line that can maul even the most disciplined front seven. But will they execute it when the moment arrives? That is the question that will define their season.
Tidal Wave
So, who will emerge victorious? Agin our asking of all people me? Since ou asked, in my “humble” opinion if football was purely about physicality, and talent of the 53 it would be the Eagles in a landslide but if it were about adaptation, resilience, and determination Kansas City will find a way to overcome and be on the stage once again to accept the Lombardi trophy. But football, especially at this level, is about something deeper—the ability to handle adversity and respond with unwavering confidence.
And in that regard, although I feel that the Eagles are the deeper and better team there is no way I am going to risk my final football bet of the year only getting +1.5 against that QB, HC and DC in this game, on this stage while the world is watching! Not a chance!
Final Verdict
Kansas City 30, Philadelphia 27.
My advice to Philadelphia is if you have the Chiefs down in the 4th quarter you better go in for the death blow or somehow and someway the Chiefs will snatch victory from sure defeat!
I will say the above scenario happens once again because that's just what Mahomes lives to do. If so, its another ring for the Tripod of immortality Mahomes, Kelse and Reid. Yet another lesson for the Eagles, and another year for the rest of the football world trying, in vain, to explain what we just witnessed.
Goodbye!
Finally, it's been very enjoyable spending time developing these topics and an honor in writing this psychobabble post for the” lunatics” that dare read my sometimes nauseating, upsetting, frustrating, illogical, mind-numbing, etc., but always weekly informative rants that have even my own head spinning at times.
So, as I say good-bye, I don't know what the future holds as the Forensic Sunday ROI wasn't what I expected (sorry) but we cant be perfect (dammit) so enjoy the day, the game, and the offseason but most importantly enjoy your lives as although we have today we are not guaranteed tomorrow! So, as I bid you all a fond farewell until September, I wish you all the very best in your personal lives and as always, "GOOD FORTUNE TO ALL AND TO ALL A VERY GOOD NIGHT!” PHD!
