The Eagles have the better "team" but year after year we have seen this same story play out, the 49ers had the better "team" twice, the Eagles had the better "team" last time these two faced off, but what neither team had was... Mahomes.

The Eagles no doubt have the best o-line/d-line combo in the NFL, I'd rank them top 3 in both categories, but on the other side, I would also rank the Chiefs in the top 8 on both sides.  So that could neutralize the Eagles #1 advantage here.  In the postseason, the Eagles had a chance to feast on defenses that had no answers for their heavy rush offense, and even so, the Rams were 20 yards from winning on the road.

In the end, both teams only allowed 30 points once this year (not including week 18), and should be near equals defensively.  We can analyze the numbers and positional battles all day long, but the Chiefs have the biggest advantage at the most important positions, QB and Coach.  I wanted to pick the Eagles, I have gone against the Chiefs in all 3 of their SB wins, but at some point you just have to ask yourself, are you backing Hurts and Sirianni to topple Mahomes and Reid? ... So far the only players who have shown they can beat Mahomes in the playoffs are Brady and Burrow, and I dont think Tom is coming down from the booth to play Sunday...
