VEGAS BRUCE:
Thanx for the kind words-the video was 21 minutes or so long and I do try to have shorter videos.
Some Viewers LIKE the off-the-cuff memorization narrative - I never use a script and say what pops in my mind.
Every now and then I get a detail wrong and some grammar policewoman tries to shame me with their "gotcha!" bull, but I move on.
Like I told everyone else, I am having the WORST NFL season ever. But I will work hard to finish strong 2nd half of the season.
Somewhere in the older videos I posted those WYNN Tickets from 2007 season that I won low six figures - all CASH betting. I deliberately
left my credit cards home with the wife so I would not "steam" after a tough loss in the a.m. games. Something about putting your cold CASH
in that Window Teller's hands makes you a better Handicapper.
I also paid $400 per year to be "Rated" with NFL plays and "Pro Football News" - a minor player at the time but had a chance to be something in the late 1980's - I was runner up twice and Finalist 3x...just could not get the top spot.
Did the USA Today NFL Challenge for the few years they had that and did finish over .500 but did not win the prizes. This old lady in Henderson, Nevada won the first year with 73%!!! Never saw her/heard about her again!
Did the Barbary Coast Pick 'em Contest every year, and TWICE I got every game right. But so did 55 or so other people and I only won $80.00 or so bucks so I stopped that. THOUSANDS of players played that and that led me to the SUPE later on.
Also did the SUPE for a few years but never finished in-the-money but always finished above .500 and never had an 0-5 week. When I was younger I could name scores for a team's entire season, etc. Some kids can name every player's Jersey number but that is a different memory skill( not really a skill - you are BORN with the brain cells or you are not born with them) but these kind of Handicappers never win anything of note....learning how the teams make 2nd H adjustments, injuries, and the "eye test" will send you to profitability.
They used to have NFL Employee only Pools at the Casino I worked at ( last one was at for 16 years before I retired) and I kept winning either 1st, 2nd or 3rd every week and the General Manager asked me to stop around 2008. Little did they know that 2008 - 2009 was the (THEN) huge slide for me and I lost $30,100 on my unbeaten Tom Brady and the NY Giants Super Bowl and I thought I was "slick" and played the ML. I thought I was slick and knocked off the points and was so confident I finished this kid's Floorman's shift and when I lost the workers rubbed my nose in that loss disrespectfully but not enough for me to get them Fired. The one clown was coughing " Welfare doors open tomorrow morning at nine" cough cough. Just loud enough for me to over hear that and some of the Poker Customers got a minor laugh but a few of them told the GM the next time they saw him. If you know anything about Poker Dealers: "shut up and deal - no talking".
But after they would do the usual "grass-is-greener" at other Casinos, leave us and try another Casino ( mostly Los Angeles area) and were either let go or quit, they tried to return and THEN I made sure the GM did not rehire them. Never is a good thing to gloat at others' misgivings or kick them when they are down and out. People remember.
I will keep working on having shorter videos.
See you next week!!!
