DeVonta Smith Over 4.5 Receptions

DeVonta started the season on a tear, with three straight games of 7 receptions. Things were then disrupted by a concussion which made him miss a week, and he’s had a few tougher matchups against the Browns and Giants since his return.

When both DeVonta and AJ Brown are healthy, DeVonta has been operating out of the slot on nearly 60% of snaps. He also attracts 23% of targets from Jalen Hurts. These are very encouraging numbers, and we saw the production he is capable of with those 21 receptions through Week 3.

Now he faces the Bengals, who are allowing 12.5 receptions per game to opposition wide receivers (10th-most in NFL).

This Eagles passing attack really revolves around AJ Brown and DeVonta, especially with Dallas Goedert unlikely to play as well. The Bengals should keep this game competitive and I don’t expect the Eagles to have their way in the ground game, so we can expect some decent passing volume from Jalen Hurts.

This is the week DeVonta gets back on track, and I think getting his receptions line at 4.5 is a steal.
