To my Friends, Followers, viewers and all other Handicappers, even the hostile ones.
I let you down in the 2nd and 3rd biggest games of the NFL Season.
Could care less about chinks in my Armor or reputation; everyone here knows what I am capable of.
What I care about are the fellow NFL enthusiasts that listened to those horrible YouTube videos where I am half asleep and with the flu, cold, whatever.
I know I like to refer to that Godfather 1 & 2 often, and must do do once more:
The Scene where Michael Corleone is supposed to bring the 2 Million to Hyman Roth in Havana, Cuba.
Roth deftly portrayed by the late, great Lee Strasbourg( spc?).
Roth brings up his tribute to Moe Greene, who was "rubbed out" by the orders of Michael Corleone.
Paraphrasing:
"I heard about Moe Greene. Didn't like it, but I knew Greene was always saying stupid things, and a hot head. I didn't ask who gave that order to get Moe Greene but I always realize that this IS THE BUSINESS WE HAVE CHOSEN".
We all here on Pregame.com have chosen to match our wits against the Casinos and Bookmakers. We all here are trying to "beat the Numbers game".
I promise to work even harder next NFL Season and feel confident that we all can grow and re-learn all the tricks of the trade that is necessary to Beat the Books.
Just a few notes that might be of use to all out there:
1. 49er game: game was closer than the score indicated in the 1st half. 49er D did come ready to play but Eagles 4th and 3 TD should have been called back. That play set the tone in favor of Eagles.
2. Not that I am in any position to give myself credit of any kind after my Whiffs today, but the Offensive fiasco 2nd half sqarely falls on Shanahan's shoulders. I warned everyone that who would listen that Shanahan is no Genuis.
3. The Best Team always wins. Period.
The Eagles found ways to win, and let's face it; the Eagles D made a LOT of tough tackes today. The Chiefs' DT Chris Jones had a beast if a game and was a contributing key factor to their win over the highly touted Bengals.
4. The Sports journalists are going to get clicks with stories of Referees, penalties, and the fights in the Philly game, but a winning team finds a way to win despite bad luck and misfortunes. My recommendation is to take all of their tripe with grains of salt as Entertainment.
5. The Title games are almost always great. The 49ers could not move the ball and the wheels came off when their tired D started committing those dumb penalties, especially the 4th Quarter.
Enjoy the Supe.
Good luck to all, and when I say Good luck to all, I mean that all areas of your lives you find more successes than defeats.
We all know that each game there is a winner and a loser; wishing everyone Good luck is well wishing for ALL your lives and families, ALL your Wagers, etc. We all know that you can't win them all, but the Devil lets us know that we could sure as Hades lose them all LOL! Nothing wrong to wish your Peers Good Luck.
Again, my Apologies for this embarrassing Whiff today.
Sincerely,
SpaceMan1
