I think when you are dealing with very talented players heads up against fill-ins there is only so much scheming you can do to protect them from being exposed without severely compromising your game plan. We know Mahomes can carve up the weak Tampa secondary with his original offensive line intact...how will he do if he can't look downfield longer than 1.5 seconds before abandoning the pocket? He definitely is very good on the run, he might still make enough time for himself to make those big plays.
