What stuck out for me is how many teams weren't prepared to play in week 1 of the season. What's behind these poor performances? A collective agreement that has limited practice time or maybe the recent success of the RAMS who last year held out a lot of starters in preseason and managed to make it all the way to the Super Bowl, remember it's a copy-cat league.
The NFL season takes its toll on a player's body, for sure, but with this lack of contact during the preseason there probably will be a lot really sore players this week. It might be a difficult week to go from west to east and play in an early time slot and deal with the wear and tear of recovering from the first real action of the season.
SEA at PIT : The offensive play calling for PIT was horrendous. Do they bounce back?
SFR at CIN: The 49ers second W-E road game in a row. Does this create a scheduling advantage?
LAC at DET: The Chargers, a good road team, comes off of an OT win and head out east for an early start time
Other games I watched …
LAC-SDG : Brissett is big, athletic, and doesn't throw interceptions the Colts are going to be okay.
KCY-JAX : The JAGS lack composure. Do they have a leadership problem?
NYG-DAL : Really, is your pass defense that bad?
TEN-CLV: My god 18 penalties in week 1, that's a record for a season-opener. A canary in a coal-mine?
