The only way AZ "picks" Murray is that if they trade the pick. There is ZERO chance they will take Murray for themselves. A lot of folks don't recognize Keim is drafting for his job here, and he is not going to ride his career on a 5'10" rookie QB that is currently sitting behind an oft-injured O-line.
Too many TV analysts only watch something like < 1 minute of AZ Cardinals on TV, and yet these same folks don't bother to see/investigate why Wilks got fired (other than using the word "racist" to describe his firing). He was a horrible coach defensively, and couldn't game plan in a Pop Warner league.
The same folks who said AZ will take Murray #1 are probably the same fools that thought Trump was involved with Russian collusion, but in reality they needed a storyline for the public to keep watching them, d@mned the nonsensical logic.
Keim has proven to be (the past few years) a crappy draft picker, however; he is smart enough to know that Wilkes was a horrendous coach, and he recognized AZ had the worst O-line in the league, hands down. He also knows he is in the hot seat for not drafting well the past few years (esp. at positions such as OL and WR). That said, has anyone really seen Murray's highlight clips? He cannot make the same throws as Rosen can. Murray's game highlights mainly consist of open WRs downfield against really crappy defenses in his conference. Yea, Rosen is not the same athlete as Murray, but boy he can throw the ball well downfield in a tight spiral if he doesn't have to get rid of it in 1.5 seconds (thanks to a Keim-inspired O-line).
People also keep forgetting- Rosen was a rookie last year, and behind the worst O-line in the league by a large margin. This is like David Carr stuff we're talking about here. If Keim can just have the O-line give up half the sacks as last year, Rosen can throw 30+ TDs and 4k yards. Of course, that is a big if given Keim's recent draft record.
Bottom line: Murray won't go #1 unless a trade takes place, and will probably be drafted the #1 pick... in the second round. Quinnen Williams is their guy. Nick Bosa gets hurts too much, and they're sick of injured D-lineman, like Nkemdiche.
