We can tell you White is leaning Under 40 in the San Antonio-Arizona game Sunday night, but he also has a very strong pick for Salt Lake-San Diego. You ABSOLUTELY need to see White's picks before locking in any AAF bets.
Here are White's picks:
BIR +5.5 | Under 41
This is an interesting matchup, pitting the league's best offense (Orlando) against the league's best defense (Birmingham). I'd generally want to lean on the side of Orlando, but two things are working against them. The weather in Birmingham on Sunday is supposed to be rainy, which could lead to a lower-scoring game, and the Apollos are playing a second straight road game, a situation where no team has scored more than 15 points to date. This feels like a field goal game.
ARI -2.5 | Under 40
The Hotshots have stumbled since looking like one of the league's best teams in Week 1, but I think they can get back on track here. John Wolford was dealing with a back injury last week, and I think he'll have a better week of practice leading into this one going against a San Antonio defense that has allowed the most passing yards in the league. And the Commanders are playing a third straight road game, which could be a problem for their players. We should see enough from the Hotshots for them to cover the number.
SL +6 | Under 36
The Stallions might be 1-3, but I'm not sure they've played all that poorly. Starting QB Josh Woodrum was hurt in a tight Week 1 game that then turned into a blowout loss, and he missed the next game when the Stallions lost a tight game, 12-9, against a good defensive Birmingham team. Woodrum returned to beat the Hotshots the second time around at home, then Salt Lake lost at home in the snow to the league's best team. I'll take Woodrum over Fleet QB Mike Bercovici, who struggled in Week 1 and was benched but now has to replace the injured Philip Nelson.
MEM +1.5 | Over 38.5
The Legends are turning to Aaron Murray in this game, and he looked good last week after Matt Simms was knocked out with an injury. But the Memphis passing attack has really come alive under Zach Mettenberger, whose 73 percent completion rate is best the league (min. 10 passes) and 7.9 yards per attempt is second best behind Garrett Gilbert. The struggling Memphis running game needs to get going, but that's made easier by facing a Legends defense that's allowed a league-worst 120 rushing yards per game to RBs.
I like the Stallions with Josh Woodrum better than San Diego going back to Mike Bercovici, so if you're going to give me six points, I'll take them. How are the Fleet going to put up a big number? I also don't trust the Legends to look as good this week now that there's some film on Aaron Murray, so give me the Express with Zach Mettenberger, one of the better QBs in the league. And I like the Hotshots to get back on track against a Commanders team on the road for the third straight week.
