The Vikings lost their offensive coordinator and the guy that made Keenum successful. Now you have no clue who their QB is or how well they are going to play. Detroit beat went 1-1 and 3-1 against them last two years.
Packers are always the odds on favorite to win this division and we will see if their D improves, but no guarantees.
2014 the lions had a top 3 defense but had lombardi at O coordinator and Brees and the Saints said, they knew 99% of plays the lions were running. That is how bad he was. Yet, they still were a terrible call against Dallas away from a play off win.
Down year in 2015
2016, the lions were 9-4 with the worst pass completion defense in NFL history, yet only lost their last 3 games of Zenner missed a blocked that injured Staffords hand and they lost last 4, including @ Seattle in play offs.
The lions are targeting pass rusher and RB. Not saying they will, but they have the cap space to snag a guy like Bell, or at least a top level RB free agent. If not, maybe one in the draft. Add that to a good offense with STafford and now you are taking a guy whose defenses get better over the season, something the lions have missed.
I understand the rhetoric that the lions have always sucked, but to assume Packers and especially the Vikings are somehow unremovable from tops of this deivison is missing the bigger picture.
