Seattle has gotten to way to arrogant in the personnel department over the last few years, and it bit them in the a$$. Why do let a dependable kicker with a strong leg (that you need in that heavey NW air) walk, and sign a headcase that gave you a playoff gift?
More dumb arrogant coaching moves and a flawed rooster is not a good combination.
You can trace the Hawks fall from elite status directly back to the Jimmy Graham trade. This began a fundamental shift in philosophy that coupled with Scot Mccloughan leaving has exposed Carroll and Schneider. They used to build for through the draft now they constantly trade picks, and have built a flawed roster since they finally had to pay Russel. That coupled with the excessive disproportionate pay to one side of the ball have left them exposed.
I have been happily betting against them all season so no complaints here :)
