Well last weeks free play was on the Lions at New Orleans and they burst out of the gate with all the steam of a Budweiser Clydesdale trying to run in the Kentucky Derby. They just could not do much of anything right and basically were not competitive. This was a case where the final score was not a accurate reflection of how the game played out. The Saints dominated Detroit.
Okay, we move onto this week and I am once again taking an underdog. I am suggesting a play on the Bengals +5.5 at Pittsburgh. I liked the Steelers last week at Arrowhead against the Chiefs as they own the Chiefs of late. But I am taking the Bengals here getting points in what I figure to be a close, hard fought game and fairly low scoring. The Steelers are coming off a huge win and the Bengals have had the luxury of a bye week to help them game plan for this meeting. While the Steelers had success last week and did move the chains the stubborn fact of the matter is they only put up 19 points on the Chiefs and the Bengals defense is certainly no joke. This Bengals defense has only been allowing a tick over 16 points per game so I see catching 5 to 5.5 as huge. I would love to have 6 or better obviously but I do not see that happening. The Bengals got off to miserable start but have now won two straight games and restored hope that looked to be eroding. Listen guys, I don't see this Bengals team as a serious player in the post season and I think Marvin Lewis would be a better DC than head coach but for this sunday, in this specific game I think the Bengals plus what I consider generous points are the right side. Take the dog here.
Okay, let me address the business side of things. I feel I am holding some markers with the gambling gods. Let me explain. I had the Redskins +7 at Kansas City a couple weeks ago. Remember that insane ending? I had a play on the Colts monday night at Tennessee, remember that insane ending. I had the Chiefs laying the 3 last night. Yup, another insane ending. I consider myself at least reasonably articulate but I cannot find the words to describe that kind of frustration. The swing in units is appalling. Those kind of finishes and wack job endings tend to even out. Okay, I am ready for some to fall in my lap now thank you. The overall football record from the very beginning of the season to now, bad beats included stands at 63-51, +14.60 units.
I have three featured releases currently loaded and available. Friday night in the NBA I have my first featured release of the young season. I have posted two client NBA releases and have a 2-0 mark going into friday. On saturday I do have a huge release in play. I do have my 2017 College Football Triple Star Game of the Year going. Last season I cashed it easily, as I did my one & only Bowl game of the year. This season I have had an SEC game of the year and it cashed easily with Auburn smoking Mizzou. I can say with all sincerity I think more of this specific game than any to date this season. No, it's not a lock. That is a term devised by idiots for idiots. Okay, on sunday I have a Combination package that consists of four releases for the usual price of one. The package includes both Triple Star action as well as Rabid Dog. The long term mark with the NFL Triples and Rabid Dogs speaks for itself. Enough said on that.
Okay, here we are fellas. It is already week 7 in the NFL. Unreal. Being a Packers fan the season has taken a cruel turn. Like gambling, it all goes with the territory. I am hoping the Packers can hang in without him and at least make the post season. My confidence in that is pretty limited though to be honest.
Back to work. Best of luck this weekend with your action guys.
