Good afternoon everybody,
It is still a couple of months away but I have been looking at the odds for division winners, and I wanted to get opinions and advice, there are alot of sharp people in these forums. I'll keep this short and sweet.
AFC East- New England -500; it is the steepest price and it is just. I think there is value in laying this much chalk but not ready yet to do so.
AFC North- Pittsburgh -110; along with New England I think this offers the greatest value, and it is the one that I am probably going to put my bet in the next week; this is the one where I want to get everybody's thoughts on.
NFC North- Green Bay -225; there is good value here but the pack seem to make me very nervous taking them before the season to win the division. It seems that for the past few years they beat themselves, and I don't really trust them to go over their 10.5 season win total.
All of the other divisions for me are up in the air, even Seattle which is -275 because I think the Cardinals will rebound heavy after their horrible season last year. I might lay Seattle and then find hedging opportunities later in the year. Like I said, all of the other divisions for me are up in the air and will wait a few weeks into the season to see if their is value in taking them to win their division. Right now the Steelers I am probably going to play, and want to know what everybody thinks.
