7 weeks into the football season and the Jets get their first spread win.
Trying to find angles on Thursday night games and one angle that has been profitable is betting on the Experienced HC vs the Not-so-Experienced HC in the games.
Another angle to look at may be the Older team vs the younger team. It looks like older teams may have trouble getting up for and playing well in these games on the short rest, as New England show last night. The Jets dominated TOP and New England had 5 three and outs in the game. The younger legs may have an edge in these short turnaround games.
Geno Smith Looked good last night, but both Teddy and Scott feel that he is really nothing more than a backup QB. Geno really has the problems in crunch time, like last night with the 2 point conversion miss he had and the week before with the Picksix he threw vs Denver late. Ron Jaworski has Geno ranked 32 of 32 starting QBs in the league and Teddy doesn't disagree with that.
Teddy feels that Rex Ryan should have gone to Mike Vick a month ago or so and isn't sure why Ryan hasn't pulled the trigger yet. He's probably out at the end of the season as coach, so he has nothing to lose.
Even back to his Junior year in college both Teddy and Scott felt that he wasn't a true NFL caliber QB. He really looked confused in college and he looks that way for the most part in the NFL.
