Just wanted to add something to this thread I thought might be helpful and should be taken into account when handicapping this series. Some great info from you guys here on this thread!!
No bullshit - I live about a half hour from Pittsburgh and one of my best friends is from "The Hill" or the the Hill District neighborhood as it is referred to in Pittsburgh. This is where Dejuan Blair grew up and was raised. I talked to my boy this weekend and he said that some of his people who keep in touch with Dejuan and his family had said the Spurs are really motivated to win this year. If they get the ring in all likelihood Tim Duncan will retire. My friend was tellin me the Spurs players all really look up to Duncan and he has been great to Dejuan there. They really goin all out for him (Duncan) and tryin to send him out on top.
I couldn't help but be reminded of the year the Steelers was goin all out for Jerome Bettis when they knew it was going to be his last season. They did get the Lombardi that year for "The Bus". Whether this will be enough to get the Spurs past Miami, I don't know. I personally just don't have a "feel" for this series at all. I'm gonna have to take a hard look at Game 1 before I do any betting on this series at all. Two guys I don't like going against are Lebron "The King" and Pop "The Boss of Bosses". The best player against the best coach.. What a f**kin matchup!!
Enjoy it fellas and cash some tickets! BOL to all!
