It's tough..I want to try and keep the integrity of the systems picks/records so sometimes I will count the loss/win and sometimes I won't, depending on the type of system it is. For example SYS500 is a Power Rating system, so it is very off if a major player(s) are out. I will usually throw out every SYS500 pick with a major injury.
But I have other systems that are more situational or a play against system(s) where the injuries may not make any difference. So for those I may not throw it out.
It's a bit nuanced unfortunatley.. The vast majority of the time I won't count the game (win or lose) if there are major injuries to key players because obviously the system(s) are seeing value because those players are out and the line has adjusted to those players being out.
But there are times when I won't recommend a bet because of cluster injuries but because there are no injuries to the most important players I sometimes will wind up counting the result.
To be honest, I have been told by people that more times than not, the games I don't count because of injuries win more than they lose. And I think they are probably right :)
It's a PITA really, if I just keep each pick and never remove them, I feel like the system integrity isn't right.
I do it like this in hopes of keeping the records as clean as possible so we all have the best long term expected win rate for that pick.
