562 Celtics (-5) over Warriors
This will be a battle of teams on winning streaks with the Celtics 5 straight and the Warriors winning 4 straight but I’m more of a believer in the Celtics winning streak than the Warriors. The Celtics winning streak has come against better teams like the Knicks, Blazers, Lakers and they also ended the Nuggets winning streak in Denver. The Warriors streak has come against lottery teams the Rockets, Thunder, Cavs and the Nuggets when Jamal Murray tore his ACL and the Warriors are just 10-21 against teams that are above .500. The Warriors have also needed to be super reliant on Steph Curry and as great as he is I think you still need some offensive balance to beat a team like the Celtics. Also with Marcus Smart back healthy for the Celtics he will more than likely get the defensive assignment against Curry. Another factor for this game is the Warriors are the 7th worst defensive rebounding team and the Celtics are the 4th best offensive rebounding team and in their first matchup the Celtics grabbed 12 offensive rebounds and was out rebounded by 20 and I think more of the same should continue for this matchup. This will also be the Warriors 3rd game in 4 days and this hasn’t been a favorable matchup with the Celtics for them going 3-9-1 ATS in the last 13 games against the Celtics.
Jayson Tatum Over 25.5 Points (-116) @ FanDuel
Tatum has recently came out and said he’s starting to feel a lot more like himself since dealing with COVID and it’s showing in his play. Over his last 10 games he’s averaging 28 PPG while shooting 49% from the field 40% from 3P and over 90% from the free throw line. The Warriors are also the 2nd worst teams when it comes to sending their opponents to the free throw line so Tatum should get plenty free throws as long as he continues to attack the basket. He also scored 27 points against the Warriors in their previous matchup so I think this could be a potential 30 point game.
